Mary Kunkel ’81 and sister Linda Kunkel Walters ’79 competed and completed the Ironman Triathlon in Oceansode, CA. On May 19, 2001. This is a 2.4 mile ocean swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run! Mary finished in 11:57 and Linda in 12:10. "We were both thrilled to be able to compete together and the finish line was sweet". I am sure our coaches at Colerain would be proud.
